Even if you aren’t one for heights, the Eureka Skydeck is a must-do, as one of the best views of Melbourne around.

It is Melbourne’s tallest building, jutting up 297 metres to make the tower 88 glorious floors. On the 88th, Melbourne offer’s Eureka’s Skydeck, a 360-degree lookout point where visitors can see the inner city to all the way out to the region’s coastline.

  • The Elevator

Thankfully, you don’t have to trek up 297 metres of stairs to reach the Skydeck, but instead can hop on the elevator. It is known as the quickest elevator in the southern hemisphere, taking only one second to go up 9 metres, and a total 38 seconds to zip from the bottom to the 88th floor.

  • The Edge

For the thrill-seekers, skip the roller coasters and head straight to the Skydeck, with the Edge being an adrenaline-inducing experience. Featuring a large glass cage that is slowly suspended out of the tower, hovering nearly 300 meters over Melbourne with only a thick layer of the glass holding you. The entire cage is glass, giving you both terrifying and incredible views of the city. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience, as you won’t soon forget it!

  • The new VR Plank Experience

If the edge sounds a bit too daring for you, or if you can’t get enough of heights, Eureka’s brand-new visual reality activity is for you. Letting you experience balancing on a plank 285 metres above the bustling Melbourne City, without even having to leave the tower. You’ll be walking along the safe carpet area while you visually feel strong winds or high-flying birds make balancing even harder.

  • Enjoy a Glass of Sparkling

Eureka’s Skydeck doesn’t just feature high-quality views, but also high-class food and drinks. With a café nestled within that offers delicious nibbles including pastries, sandwiches, and ice-creams, with drinks such as coffee or beer and wine. Visitors can enjoy an unforgettable café experience with some of the best views around!

  • The Souvenir Shop

Take home a piece of the Eureka, with a memento for you, or your family and friends. The store offers a range of goodies, such as teddy bear, now globes, mini eureka towers, and even shot glasses. Fill your bags with these treats and set off to the rest of Melbourne’s attractions!
