When it comes to Australia, no matter what type of holiday you are after, every region has you covered. The country is a endless smorgasbord of natural wonders and unforgettable activities sure to satisfy even the fussiest traveller. From iconic rock formations to bustling city centres, each spot is well worth your time. But what if you only have limited time down under? We have helped you out and mapped out the easiest route for your 2 week Aussie holiday, detailing the best attractions and activities for each stop!

  • Day 1-4: Melbourne

Melbourne is the epitome of cool, with an eclectic selection of attractions, cafes, bars, and restaurants to check out. While there, you can take a tour along the Great Ocean Road to see the 12 Apostles and other unique monuments, and visit Phillip Island to see the Penguin Parade and the diverse selection of wildlife there.

Back in the city, you can take a river cruise and a highlights tour to hit up all the best spots, either hopping on at either lunchtime and dinner!

  • Day 5-7: Sydney

After Melbourne, head up the coast to vibrant Sydney, where you can spend some time exploring the Harbour on a cruise and taking in the stunning architecture that defines the city. You can then head out of the city to the Blue Mountains to get to know the beautiful surrounding scenery and take a trip to the cultural Hunter Valley for wine tasting and delicious gourmet treats.

  • Day 8-10: Cairns

Then it’s time to explore the natural beauty of Australia when you head to Cairns. Here, you can experience one of the world’s most impressive natural wonders – the Great Barrier Reef, taking a snorkelling tour to get to know the underwater world, and you can wander through the Daintree Rainforest to Cape Tribulation to see the point where wild rainforest meets turquoise ocean.

  • Day 11-13: Darwin – Alice

Discover Australia’s incredible Red Centre as you travel from Darwin to Alice on a 2-day adventure. Take in the Aboriginal history of the region and see some of the area’s most prolific and unique natural monuments as you go. This is a great way to experience another side to Australia away from city life.

  • Day 14: Uluru

Finally, end your trip with a visit to one of Australia’s most iconic attractions. Explore the base of Uluru with an experienced Indigenous guide, learn more about the rich cultural heritage of the region and marvel at the ancient landscape. Here, you can visit the Cultural Centre to learn more about Australia’s past and to pick up a souvenir or two to remember your trip to Australia with.

Two weeks might be a short amount of time to spend in Australia, but it’s enough to see all of the major hotspots and all of the best-loved attractions.
