Indulge and spoil yourself at this Choclaterie within the lush greenery!

For food lovers on a Yarra Valley Tour, the Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery is the perfect place to indulge your sweet tooth. Set up and run by passionate foodies Ian and Leanne Neeland, the Yarra Valley Chocolateri and Ice Creamery is now a popular destination filled with treats and the chance to learn more about this unique industry in Australia.

The Yarra Valley is famed for its production of wine, and it is home to a smattering of beautiful vineyards and wineries. Tucked amongst it all is the Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery, which is set on 40 acres of picturesque orchard complete with manicured gardens and reclaimed wetlands. Inside, there is a working showroom and factory that lets visitors learn more about the chocolate production process and how it has become such an important part of the Yarra Valley.

All visitors are welcomed on-site with free chocolate and ice cream tastings. From there, you can wander around the showroom and see the talented on-site European Chocolatiers working their magic. There are plenty of seasonal events throughout the year as well, giving visitors not just a tasty experience, but a memorable and cultural one too.

Things to Do at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery

  • Soak Up Views from the Café

The on-site café boasts a menu filled with delicious chocolate treats and more savoury goods, too. From the excellent vantage point, you can gaze out at the sprawling expanse of the Yarra Valley while you tuck into your breakfast, lunch, or dinner. All dishes are made using the kitchen garden and produce from local farms in the valley.

  • Watch the Master Chocolatiers at Work

The highlight of the Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery (apart from the free tastings, of course) is watching the in-house chocolatiers in action. Here, the team make more than 250 different chocolate-based products for visitors to try and buy at the venue.

  • Pick Up Some Tasty Treats

Once you’ve experienced the chocolate being made and have had a snack overlooking the Yarra Valley in the café, be sure to pick up a tasty treat or two in the showroom. Choose from chocolate balls, blocks, and small treats as well as unique cocoa creations like fondues at the on-site store to give your sweet tooth a treat long after you’ve left the valley. If you’re visiting at Easter or Christmas, you’re in for a delicious experience, plus there’s plenty of chance to pick up gifts for those back home.
