Day One (L, D)
We commence our 6 Day South West Tour by starting our adventure from Perth and making our way to the Darling Ranges for our first morning tea. Marvel at the historic township of WA’s oldest inland town, York before we continue our adventure, stopping for lunch in the incredible shadow of Wave Rock. Continuing east, we arrive late in the afternoon at Fitzgerald River National Park, known as the largest and most botanically significant national park in Australia.
Before the night ends, we settle in our swag camp at Fitzgerald River National Park.
Day Two (B, L, D)
We wake early, to start our morning with an invigorating hike up to East Mt Baron, one of three quartzite peaks of the Barren Range. As we adventure further along the coast, we arrive in Esperance and have a little wander around the town before we settle down for morning tea.
As the day progresses, we enjoy some a truely breathtaking Australian scenery at Cape Le Grand National Park, setting up camp at this magnificent national park. Here you have a view of the transparent ocean, where the local eastern grey kangaroos often lay sunbaking on the beach. The area is famous for the spectacular beaches, including Lucky Bay, considered to have the whitest sand in Australia.
You’ll get a free afternoon here to spend the day however you like! Whether it’d be setting out for a coastal bushwalk, taking some spectacular memorable photos or simply relaxing with your new friends along the pristine beaches of this magnificent national park.
Our swag camp for the night will be at the Cape Le Grand, where you can enjoy the ultimate star-gazing night sky while you sleep the night away.
Day Three (B, L, D)
To start the day, we hike up to see the breathtaking views on top of the Frenchman’s Peak. The scenery is definitely one of a kind with its views over the park and Southern Coastline. Following this walk, we head back to the bus to continue our adventure to the Stirling Ranges, with a stopover near Esperance for lunch.
To settle for the day, we head over to our private camp ground in the Stirling Ranges to swag camp for the night.
Day Four (B, L, D)
We start our journey along Western Australia’s version of Great Ocean Road, seeing the spectacular sculpture rock formation of the coastline including the Natural Bridge and The Gap. We then head inland amongst the impressive forests to the South West to the Valley of the Giants. Move high in the forest canopy of the Giant Tingle Trees on the Ancient Empire Walk, gaining a unique perspective of these 400 year old trees. We move on to climb the towering Diamond tree, reaching over 50 meters above the ground.
To conclude our day, we drive to our Quinninup Campsite, where we settle in for the night.
Day Five (B, L, D)
As we are near the end of our adventure, today, we feast on the delicious local fare of Margaret River. Here you’ll get the chance to explore and browse what Margaret River and surroundings has to offer including wineries, boutique breweries, chocolate and cheese factories.
Day Six (B, L)
As our adventure ends, our last stop will be at Koomal Dreaming where you will have yet another opportunity to feast on native foods and experience traditional indigenous fire lighting with the locals.
