The day begins in Melbourne, where we set off on our journey to the Great Ocean Road. First up, we’ll visit one of the Great Ocean Roads newest attractions, The Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie where you can enjoy free chocolate tastings!
Afterwards, we’ll move on to Memorial Arch, where you can take some iconic photos and marvel at the beauty of this structure. Then we’ll take a stroll along one of the Great Ocean Road’s pristine beaches, taking in the incredible sea views, and feeling the sand between your toes.
We’ll head through Lorne and Anglesea, two quaint and popular seaside towns, where you can get a taste of local life, before we make our way to take a bush walk through nature. Here, you can catch a glimpse of native critters like wild koalas, and colourful bird species, like parrots, lorikeets, and the famous kookaburra.
For lunch (at own expense), we’ll stop off in the charming seaside town of Apollo Bay, where you can sample some local flavours before we continue the journey through the Otway Rainforest. Here, you’ll learn more about the ancient trees and the picturesque beauty that defines the region.
We’ll head to Loch Ard Gorge and learn about Australia’s most iconic shipwreck, before we watch the sunset against the backdrop of the famous 12 Apostles landmarks. Then it’s time to travel back to Melbourne, stopping for dinner in Colac on the way home.
