Discover places to visit and fun activities to do during your stay in Sydney.
There are many great months to visit Sydney and explore the gorgeous city. But if you’re looking for a month, any time in October is the best time to go.
There are many things you can do while in Sydney in October. Typically, from September to November is when festivals and other events start happening again in Sydney.
In October, you avoid the larger crowds, and the weather is ideal for any activities you want to do and for sightseeing.
Go visit Sydney’s popular beaches
Bondi Beach and Manly Beach are Sydney’s most popular beaches. Especially Bondi Beach, which has become super famous because of the tv show Bondi Rescue. When you spend a few hours at this iconic beach, you’ll understand why everyone loves it here. Only 20 minutes from the city is where you’ll find the golden sand and the gorgeous blue water. Either relax on the beach or go for a swim or surfing. You can either spend a few hours walking around Bondi and seeing the cafes and shops.
Manly Beach is about half an hour’s drive from the city, or you can get public buses or ferries. You can go surfing, snorkelling, diving, and many more activities in the water. Or you can walk along the beach or take a dip in the ocean.
Go sightseeing for the day
Spend the day walking around Sydney and seeing the city’s most popular sites. Of course, you must visit the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. You can see both iconic landmarks in the same area as you’re walking towards the Opera House. You can even climb the Harbour Bridge and get spectacular views of the harbour and Sydney City.
Close to the Opera House, you can spend a few hours exploring the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. This garden is the oldest botanic garden in Australia. It features a huge collection of unique plants from Australia and around the World. There are many different gardens to see and shops to visit.
Go out on the harbour
You can catch a regular ferry from Circular Quay and go out on the harbour. You will get different views of the city, the Opera House, and even go under the Harbour Bridge. Or you can have a one-of-a-kind experience and have lunch, dinner, or high tea on a ferry.
Doing all these activities in October is the best time as there are fewer crowds, and the weather is perfect. But if you visit Sydney any time of year, you will still get an incredible experience.
