3 Day Uluru & Kings Canyon Premium Camping Tour Itinerary
Day One (Lunch & Dinner)
Your Uluru 3 Day small group tour sees you departing Alice Springs at the break of day and travelling straight to Uluru (Ayers Rock). However, we’re sure you won’t resent first stopping at Curtin Springs cattle station – the home of Mount Connor (aka False Uluru).
With colours which change throughout the day Uluru is more than just a remarkable monolith. For thousands of years, it has held significance for the region’s Aboriginal communities, as you’ll discover at the Red Centre’s indigenous interpretive cultural centre and at ancient rock art sites within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
Take a walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole before the day’s sightseeing ends amid the splendour of Central Australia’s highest waterfall at Kantju Gorge. We end the day watching the unforgettable change of colours as the sun sets over Uluru.
Day Two (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Another early start enables you to enjoy the sunrise over Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. You’ll then head to the second named site within this protected area, Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Creating an expansive landscape of rich red rock formations, the tour continues with hikes through either the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge – two of the Olgas most celebrated spots.
After exploring Kata Tjuta, we journey across the mesmeric Red Centre straight to Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon). The outback adventure continues long after nightfall, with a campfire meal accompanied by stargazing. You’ll then bed down among the sounds of the wild.
Day Three (Breakfast & Lunch)
Rise and shine and get ready to explore the majestic landscapes of Kings Canyon on your last day on tour. We’ll set out on foot to discover the land held sacred to the Lila and Ulpanyali Aboriginal people. The rewarding hike will take you out among the landscape of soaring bluffs, plunging gorges and evocative native flora and fauna.
Finally, enjoy a well-earned rest aboard the bus as we travel back to Alice Springs.
