One of the best things to do during the wintertime in Victoria is to head to the incredible Mount Buller. When thinking of Mount Buller, you may think of skiing and snowboarding, but there is so much more to do.

If you’re visiting Mount Buller with kids, there are heaps of activities to check out for the whole family!

Snow play

Mount Buller isn’t just for skiing and snowboarding. In fact, there are endless opportunities for snow play.

You can head to one of the snow play areas and spend as much time as you’d like. Build a snowman, make a snow angel or simply take a stroll through the snow. In between snow activities, you can pop into one of the restaurants or cafes to warm up!

Buller Air Zone

Mount Buller Air Zone is a fun, active escape from the chilly outdoors. If you need a break from the slopes, this is the perfect place to bring your family.

There are heaps of activities to enjoy from high-performance trampolines to indoor rock climbing. The whole family is in for a fun afternoon at Buller Air Zone!

Skiing and snowboarding

Skiing and snowboarding is for everybody! Whether you’re new to these snow sports or you’re an expert, this is a great family activity!

Cinema

Are you looking to take a break from the snow? Check out the Mount Buller cinema. The theatre seats 180 people and is the highest cinema in Australia.

Before the movie begins, stock up on snacks to enjoy during the film. There are different showing times and various films available. You’re sure to find something that suits the entire family!

Scenic Chair Lift

If your little ones are too nervous to cruise down the slopes, you can take a scenic chair lift ride. This is a great way to take in the mountain views and experience the chair lift. There is even a cafe at the top of the mountain where you can sip on a hot chocolate and admire the stunning scenery.

Tobogganing

Tobogganing is a great way to enjoy the slopes of Mount Buller. If you have a valid lift pass, you can even hire a toboggan for free. Regardless, there are dedicated toboggan parks that you can enjoy with your family.

Take a scenic chairlift up to the top of the hill and enjoy the thrilling toboggan ride down the slopes!

Kids’ Week

Every snow season, Mount Buller hosts a couple of kids’ weeks. These week-long events are full of activities tailored towards children and their families.
