What should I bring?

It’s important to bring the basics with you on a day trip to the mountains. You’ll want to be sure to pack a warm hat, gloves or mittens, a winter jacket, and winter boots. If you plan to spend lots of time in the snow, you may also want to bring snow pants.

If you are planning to ski or snowboard, you can bring your gear so you’re ready to go once you get to the mountains!

Some other things you may want to bring are spending money, a camera, a scarf and other warm gear.

What can I hire?

You don’t need to own your own snow gear to visit Mount Buller. An alternative option is to hire gear once you arrive at the mountain.

If you plan to spend time in the snow, you can hire all your snow gear. This includes a jacket, snow pants and winter boots. Be sure to bring your own hat and gloves or mittens, otherwise you will have to purchase those from one of the shops.

You can also hire ski and snowboard equipment if you plan to hit the slopes. You can hire a snowboard, skis and poles, and a helmet. Goggles are not able to be hired, so you will have to bring your own or purchase them from the shop.
