2 Day Uluru Tour from Alice Springs Itinerary
Day 1: Uluru Base Walk and Uluru sunset (Lunch & Dinner)
We start the day bright and early, picking you up from your Alice Springs accommodation before starting our drive to Uluru. We’ll stop at Mt Connor lookout for an epic view before continuing on to our campground for lunch where we’ll enjoy a great feed. Next, we’ll head to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where visitors will learn all about the fascinating spirituality of the Dreamtime. Later, we’ll set off on the Uluru Base Walk, which winds through several sights of religious significance, including Kantju Gorge, Mutijulu Waterhole and the millennium-old Aboriginal Cave paintings.
As the sun starts to set, now is the perfect time to take a guided tour of the Mala Walk. Enter the ancient caves and admire the incredible examples of rock art that adorn the walls. After dinner, we’ll then head to the Ayers Rock Campground where everyone can have a hot shower before getting ready to sleep in their swag or tent.
Day 2: Uluru Sunrise & Kata Tjuta (Breakfast, Lunch)
Rising just before sunrise, we’ll head straight for the Uluru and Kata Tjuta viewing area to admire the spectacular orange and purple skyline. Next, we’ll head to the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta where your professional guide will explain bush tucker and the nearby ancient rock formations that came into existence millions of years ago.
As the day comes to an end, we’ll start our drive back to Yulara.
