Important Information
PLEASE NOTE: This tour begins and ends in Alice Springs. If you are flying into Ayers Rock, you can book this tour instead and start the tour from Ayers Rock/Yulara, but unfortunately we can only accommodate drop-off in Alice Springs.
The minimum age for this tour is 8 years old, however, this tour is more suitable for travellers aged 18 – 49 years. This is due to the nature of the accommodation (swag camping), the hikes (up to 8 kms a day in the heat), and the style of tour (catered to a younger crowd). If you are outside these ages we have alternative tours which may be more suitable, please call us to discuss options before booking.
3 Day Uluru & Kings Canyon Tour from Alice Springs to Alice Springs Itinerary
Day One (Lunch & Dinner)
Day one begins at 6am as we pick you up in Alice Springs and make our way to Uluru. Once we’ve had lunch, we will head to Kata Tjuta for our first day of exploring. We’ll weave around the 36 various-sized boulders on an afternoon hike. In the evening, enjoy some snacks while watching the sunset. There’s nothing better than seeing the sun cast gorgeous earthy tones across the Red Centre. We will then go to our campsite for our first evening spent camping out under the vast desert night sky.
Day Two (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Tuck into breakfast before watching the colourful sunrise over Uluru. Soak up the beauty as the monolith turns from an inky shadow into a vibrant golden colour. We’ll then make our way to Uluru, where you will get to learn about the cultural significance of the monolith before embarking on the Uluru Base Walk. We will regroup to have lunch before visiting the Cultural Centre. Here you can view hand-crafted items and even purchase a souvenir to take home. In the evening, we will make our way to our campsite near Kings Canyon for another night of sleeping under the stars.
Day Three (Breakfast & Lunch)
It’s another early start on day three as we take a walk around the breathtaking rim of Kings Canyon. We’ll check out the north and south walls, the Garden of Eden, and the Natural Amphitheatre. Take in the incredible views on this spectacular scenic walk. The tour comes to an end in Alice Springs in the late afternoon.
