1 Day Fraser Island 4WD Adventure from Noosa Itinerary
Your island adventure starts nice and early, to allow a full day of exploring! You’ll be collected from your selected Noosa pick-up point. Welcome the day ahead with a pretty morning drive to Rainbow Beach, where we’ll arrive at the ferry port. Then you’ll climb aboard the ferry and set sail to K’gari! Look out from over the boat and spot dugongs and dolphins in the ocean.
Then we’ll take a 4WD along the iconic sand highway, called 75-Mile Beach.
After, we’ll head out to the peaceful serenity of Eli Creek, where a pretty stream meanders through tranquil bushland. Float downstream and absorb the rainforest scents and sounds. Enjoy the natural scenery and absorb the serenity of this little slice of paradise!
Then, we’ll head to the SS Maheno Shipwreck to explore this mysterious ruin and learn about the island’s busy history of shipwrecks.
After that, we’ll venture inland. Level up the adventure with some 4WD’ing along the bumpy island tracks, which takes us to Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie). Chill out, sunbathe near the lake and perhaps take some time for a swim in the water and enjoy the serene, still water.
Then, we head to a forestry area called Central Station. Explore the island’s green bushland by wandering around the boardwalks. If you want to explore further, feel free to take the 1.8km walk that follows the creek to the tall trees of Pile Valley.
Then, we rejoin the exciting Beach Highway at sunset, where we head back to the ferry and wrap up the adventure with a peaceful ferry journey back to Rainbow Beach and Noosa.
