We start the day traveling from Alice Springs as we head west between the jutting West MacDonnell Ranges. Along the way, we’ll stop off for a hearty buffet breakfast at Erldunda before continuing on to arrive in Yulara by midday.
Our first stop once we arrive at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is the Olgas, for a walk into Walpa Gorge. Be amazed by the domes of Kata Tjuta that rise out of the surrounding open plains. Next up, you’ll then have the chance to learn more about the Aboriginal history that imbues the region at the Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
It’s then on to Uluru, where you’ll join a cultural walk of the base of the impressive monolith and take a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole. Whilst there, you can check out some of the centuries-old Aboriginal rock paintings that decorate the walls.
Finally, we’ll head back to Uluru to catch the sunset behind this beautiful sight. You’ll get to sip on complimentary wine and tuck into a delicious dinner as the sky turns to an inky black before heading back to Alice Springs. This is where the day-long tour comes to an end.
