Spend three days exploring some of the 74 spectacular islands that make up the Whitsundays aboard the esteemed former racing maxi yacht Apollo (it won the Sydney to Hobart Race before!). You’ll enjoy amazing opportunities to scuba dive and snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, sunbathe on the pristine snow-white sands of Whitehaven Beach and relax on deck as you sail the azure ocean waters. Feel like part of the crew as you get involved in the sailing action by hoisting the sails and taking the helm. With all meals freshly prepared and accommodation on board the yacht, this 3 day tour is the best way to experience the Whitsunday Islands!
Operates: Sunday & Thursday
Adult from: $609
This tour is suitable for travellers aged 18 – 40 years.
Day 1 (lunch & dinner)
Meet the crew and your fellow travellers in the marina where we show you the boat and complete the safety briefing before heading on our way. Once out of the marina, we’ll hoist the sails and feel the wind in our hair as we cruise towards the North end of Hook Island. We’ll stop at Stonehaven Bay including Langford Reef, where you can snorkel to meet the underwater world, or if you don’t like to go under water, jump on a paddle board and paddle away. After a lot of fun, we find a great spot at Stonehaven Bay or nearby where we anchor for the night. Relax on the deck and soak in the serenity as the sun sets on your first day.
Day 2 (breakfast, lunch & dinner)
Today we head to Tongue Bay where you can explore the best bits of the Whitsundays, including a stop at Whitsundays’ most famous destination – Whitehaven Beach. It’s a great place to relax on the pure white silica sands, swim, sunbathe or enjoy beach activities. You can take a walk to a beautiful lookout here too. We also spend some time at Hill Inlet and a few other beautiful spots. Today it’s all about beach, beach, beach and a bit of nature!
Day 3 (breakfast & lunch)
We spend the morning of our final day at another fantastic snorkelling spot, where we also take out the paddle boards again. We may also stop at the Ngaro Caves a Nara Inlet. You’ll enjoy one last chance to admire the stunning Whitsunday Islands from the water as we sail across the Whitsundays Passage back to the mainland.
