PLEASE NOTE: This tour begins in Alice Springs and ends in Uluru. If you are flying into Ayers Rock, you can book this tour instead to start from Ayers Rock/Yulara.
Please note, the minimum age for this tour is 8 years old. However, children are not recommended to join this tour due to the hikes (from 3-9 kms a day in the heat), the nature of the accommodation (swag camping) and the style of the tour (catered to a younger crowd 18-49 years). If you would like to know other options please contact us to discuss alternative available options.
4 Day Ayers Rock & Surrounds from Alice Springs Itinerary
Day One (Dinner)
Day one begins at Alice Springs where we’ll pick you up from selected pick-up locations. It is then time to set off towards the Red Centre. Spend the afternoon hiking around Kata Tjuta, exploring teh 36 various domes that make up this rock formation. The evening will include spending time watching the colourful Uluru sunset before heading to camp. We’ll relax at our camp for the night where you can tuck into dinner and sleep beneath the stars.
Day Two (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
We rise early on day two to watch the sunrise over Uluru before discovering the significant cultural sights around Uluru. You will learn about the Anangu rock art from your knowledeable tour guide. Then, you have free time to embark on the Uluru base walk. The large rock looks different up close, where you can take in the textures and colours.
The afternoon will continue with a fresh lunch before visiting the Cultural Centre. You will have the chance to purchase art or other souvineers hand-made by the local First Nations community. In the evening we will head to an exclusive campside near Kings Canyon. Here, we’ll indulge in a delicious dinner surrounded by the tranquillity of the desert.
Day Three (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day three starts with a hike around the top of the impressive Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park. The canyon is full of deep gullies, towering rock walls, and hidden rock pools. You will come across a range of flora and fauna on the hike. Your guide will point out some of the highlights along hte hike including the Garden of Eden and the Lost City.
After lunch, we will drive to Yulara and arrive in the late afternoon. Once there, you will be able to choose to view the stunning sunset or add an upgrade activity including a sunset camel ride, the Field of Lights, the Wintjiri Wiru Drone display, or the Sounds of Silence. We will then enjoy our final dinner together before heading to camp for one more night of sleeping beneath the stars.
Day Four (Breakfast)
The final day starts in a relaxed manner with a delicious hearty breakfast. You will have some time to chat with your fellow travellers and reminisce on your Uluru adventure. You will be able to jump on a free airport shuttle to the Ayers Rock Airport or continue on to whatever you may have planned next!
