1 Day Hobart to Launceston Tour with Wineglass Bay Itinerary
Set off from Hobart, heading east and then north along the coast. Travel through the charming seaside towns of Orford and Swansea before arriving at Freycinet National Park. This park, one of Tasmania’s first, is renowned for its breathtaking coastal landscapes, including pink granite mountains, secluded bays, pristine waters, and vibrant wildlife.
Soon after, embark on a group walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. This moderate uphill walk takes about 45 minutes, culminating in stunning views of Wineglass Bay and the surrounding park. Capture the moment with photos, and let our guides assist you. The lookout walk is one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, requiring good mobility and fitness.
From the lookout, you can either return with our guide or continue the hike down to Wineglass Bay Beach. This longer walk takes about 2.5 hours round trip and is moderately challenging. At the beach, enjoy your lunch, swim in the clear waters, or stroll along the white sands.
If you prefer a shorter walk, return from the lookout with the guide and explore other parts of Freycinet National Park, such as Honeymoon Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse, and Sleepy Bay.
We regroup and head to our final East Coast stop at Devil’s Corner Winery. Here, take in the magnificent view, enjoy a wine tasting, and indulge in wood-fired pizza, fresh seafood, oysters from Freycinet Marine Farm, and ice cream (at your own expense).
The tour concludes with a drive to Launceston, arriving around 6:00pm.
