2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour from Hobart Itinerary
Day One
The day begins with an early departure from Hobart as we head northwest of the city. Our first stop will be at Mount Field National Park by way of New Norfolk. Stroll amongst the eucalyptus trees, which are some of the tallest trees in the world. Take in the stunning views of the cascading Russel Falls and keep an eye out for platypus whilst walking through the forest.
In the afternoon, we will stop in Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park before heading to Queenstown. This town is a historic mining town with gorgeous mountain views. Tuck into your scenic lakeside accommodation, located near Cradle Mountain, before another day full of exploring.
Day Two
Begin the day with a short drive to Cradle Mountain National Park by way of the temperate rainforest. Be sure to have your cameras ready while keeping an eye out for wombats and other native Australian wildlife. Hike the famous Dove Lake Circuit or visit Marion Lookout for panoramic views of the national park.
An afternoon drive through the scenic mountain ranges will take us back to Hobart in the early evening. Unfortunately, this is where the two-day adventurous tour will come to an end.
