Spend a few hours exploring the ancient Gondwana rainforest of the Gold Coast Hinterlands on our Lamington National Park Tour. Head up into the lush hills for amazing views of the Scenic Rim and beyond. You’ll walk amongst the tree canopies and discover the rich array of plant and animal life with a guided rainforest walk. Top it all off with a glass of local bubbly at Canungra Valley Vineyard.

Departing in the morning, we’ll leave the buzzing Gold Coast behind with a scenic drive into Lamington National Park. The verdant rainforest is home to the Yuganbeh language tribes and has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site as part of the ancient Gondwana Rainforest.
Our first stop is O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat where you’ll be able to walk amongst the tree canopies with a treetop walk. Spanning 180 metres and reaching up to 15 metres above the ground, the suspension bridge offers a unique perspective of the forest and its vegetation.
Back at ground level, you’ll enjoy a guided rainforest walk to admire the ferns, orchids and towering Antarctic Beech trees. Your guide will share their knowledge of the rich biodiversity of the forest and its importance in understanding how life evolved on Earth. Throughout the tour, keep your eyes peeled for the unique animals that inhabit the region before enjoying the chance to hand feed the vibrant crimson rosellas.
We’ll jump back on the bus and head to a top lookout spot for incredible views across the Scenic Rim and out to the Gold Coast. Be sure to have your camera ready!
Our final stop is a relaxing break at Canungra Valley Vineyard. Enjoy a glass of local sparkling wine at the cellar door in the historical 163-year-old homestead. Wander through the vineyards or stop by the farm for the option to feed alpacas.
The day finishes up as we climb aboard the bus and make our journey back to the Gold Coast.
