We will then visit the oldest bee sanctuary in the world and stop by a honey farm to learn about the bees and enjoy a honey tasting. We’ll have a picnic lunch here before heading to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery and Dudley Wines, which is a family owned winery. Day 2: Kangaroo Island
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast, followed by an exciting wildlife encounter. At Seal Bay, you’ll get to encounter the third-largest colony of endangered Australian sea lions, learning all about these fascinating creatures with a 45-minute tour with the National Parks & Wildlife guides.
You will then visit the popular Flinders Chase National Park. The national park is home to beautiful beaches, an array of wildlife and impressive rock formations. Go for a stroll along the boardwalk at Admirals Arch, spot seals, and be in awe of the remarkable rocks. Explore the bush at Weirs Cove and refuel with a picnic lunch before continuing into the exciting afternoon.
As if you haven’t seen enough wildlife today, we have more animal spotting to do today! Seal Bay is home to almost 800 sea lions. During your 45 minute guided tour, you’ll learn some more about these beautiful animals. We’ll go for a little stroll to the beach where you’ll be walking amongst the sea lions. Day 3: Kangaroo Island to Adelaide
The final day of this tour will begin with a morning hike before heading to Kingscote for some coffee. For the remainder of the morning, you will have time to explore the northern coast of the island. You can weave amongst the caves before arriving at Stokes Bay. The beach was voted the best in Australia in 2023! You will get to spend time on the beach and enjoy a picnic lunch, before going for a stroll and animal spotting along the American River.
If the weather permits, you can enjoy some free time snorkelling or lounging on the beach.
In the afternoon, take the opporunity to volunteer and contribute to conservation efforts. Activities vary based on the time of year but can include helping at a not-for-profit wildlife organisation or doing a beach clean-up.
Once this is done, you will be able to freshen up at the campsite before packing up and catching the ferry in Penneshaw at 5:30pm.* We will enjoy one last dinner together (own cost) before your guide parts ways. From Cape Jarvis, your Sealink bus will connect you back to Adelaide by 9pm.
