Adelaide Wild Dolphin Watch Cruise Itinerary
The day will begin as we depart from the historic suburb of Glenelg. You’ll embark on a 58-foot catamaran that will carry you through the warm waters along the coast of Adelaide. From here you will have 3.5 hours to watch short-beaked common dolphins and Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins as they swim and play in the waters around you.
One major feature that sets this tour apart from others is that our crew have spent time establishing a trusting relationship with the dolphins, which means that they will swim up to the vessel rather than trying to seek them out. This is important because we always want the dolphins to feel completely comfortable in their own habitat.
The spacious vessel has a large 360 viewing deck, which will allow you to take in all that is happening in the water below. The vessel has also been carefully designed to provide a smooth ride, gliding gracefully through the clear ocean water.
On board, you will get to learn all about the dolphins as our experienced Marine Biologists explain how they interact and answer any questions you may have along the way. You may be curious about what dolphins eat, or maybe you’re interested in learning how dolphins travel in their pods. You’ll be able to learn all this and more while watching the intelligent mammals in their natural habitat.
After a full morning of dolphin watching, you are guaranteed to have many wonderful memories, a deeper understanding of the majestic mammal and lots of great photos. Once the tour is over, you may wish to spend the rest of your day strolling through the city of Adelaide or relaxing on at Glenelg Beach.
