The tour begins in the heart of Adelaide, starting the journey with a tour of the city’s greatest highlights. Weave around the bustling streets while our guide tells tales of the city’s history as well as giving insight into the must-see attractions dotted about. Stopping into the iconic Adelaide Oval, we’ll pass through the charming North Adelaide suburb famous for its lavish housing and stunning architecture.
After this, we will head out of the city and stop at Mount Lofty, which showcases a spectacular view of the entire region of Adelaide. Marvel at the picturesque scenery of the city and keep your eyes peeled for the local wallabies.
Next on the agenda we’ll hop on our state-of-the-art bus and sit back to enjoy the scenic drive to the famous Hahndorf, where you can enjoy some free time for an hour and a half to explore the charming town. Being Australia’s oldest German settlement, this old-fashioned village oozes charm and attractions, spoiling visitors for choice with the endless pubs, cafes, and artisan shops to enjoy. Enjoy lunch at one of the many cafes, restaurants or pubs in town.
Afterwards, the tour will meet up again to head off to our next stop for the day – McLaren Vale. Stopping off at the historic Chapel Hill Winery, a 150-year-old Chapel converted into this stylish winery, you can enjoy a delightful wine tasting experience while marvelling at the stunning scenery of history, art, and nature this winery proudly presents.
Following this, you will be dropped off at the beautiful Main Street of McLaren Vale, where you can explore the region as you please. Nearby attractions include Hardy Tintara’s Cellar door, Aussie Fruchocs chocolate factory, and the old converted train station now the renowned Almond shop!
The tour will then head to the splendid Shingleback Winery, offering you one last wine tasting experience. If you are feeling a bit peckish, you can opt to purchase a cheeseboard that pairs perfectly with the wine varieties.
After Shingleback, we hop back on the bus and begin the journey back to Adelaide. The tour will cruise down the scenic route of Adelaide’s Coastline, letting you marvel at the stunning seaside backdrop. The bus will take its last stop at the charming beach suburb of Glenelg, where you can take a short stroll along the beach. If you’d prefer to explore the region for longer, you can opt to leave the tour here, and spend a few more hours in this bustling suburb before taking the tram back into Adelaide.
