Take some time away from the city on this half-day tour through Adelaide Hills as you head to Hahndorf, a historic German settlement. Throughout the afternoon, you will get to discover the charm of Hahndorf, sample local produce from the region and enjoy views of the surrounding vineyards and farmland.

Itinerary

Adelaide and Hahndorf Half Day Tour Itinerary

You will begin your afternoon adventure in Adelaide’s central business district where your local driver and tour guide will pick you up. Our guide will provide you with expert commentary throughout the entire tour, beginning as you make your way through the eastern suburbs of Adelaide via the green parklands.

Continuing east, we will head to Mt Lofty Summit, which is the tallest peak in the Mount Lofty Ranges. At the summit, you can enjoy scenic views from above the city, taking in the city skyline and all the greenery surrounding it.

We will continue our drive through Adelaide Hills where you will see the old Bridgewater Mill water wheel in addition to villages including Crafers and Aldgate. Just outside of Hahndorf, we will visit the Beerenberg Farm Shop where you can find an array of locally sourced goods such as homemade jams and fresh strawberries. You will then partake in a delightful afternoon tea or beer tasting surrounded by rich history and hospitality at the Hahndorf Inn.

After tea and drinks, you can enjoy free time in the historic village of Hahndorf, admiring the buildings and other influences of the historic German settlement. The main street of Hahndorf is decorated with quaint shops, cafes, bakeries and pubs which you can explore during your free time.

Following a nice afternoon in Hahndorf, we will make our way through the picturesque countryside as we head back to Adelaide.
