Babinda Boulders is a creek that weaves by large boulders and is by a rainforest. You can go swimming, cool off or relax by the Babinda Boulders. During peak periods, make sure you head down earlier in the morning to secure a spot by the water.
After there has been rain, the water is even more magnificent with the rapid stream rushing down the creek and crashing into the boulders.
Go swimming at Babinda Boulders
Babinda Boulders has a large swimming area where you can jump off the boulders, swim around, or relax in the shallow parts of the pool to cool off.

Nearby there is a beautiful picnic area and some BBQ facilities to use to cook up a delicious lunch. There are shaded spots and grassy areas with some seating available. Bring along some picnic foods and a picnic blanket and enjoy a nice day out with the water available to cool off on a hot day.

Babinda Boulders is surrounded by the lush rainforest of Wooroonooran National Park. There are all kinds of plants and trees to discover as well as all kinds of different species of wildlife. The national park also has stunning waterfalls that you can see from some walking tracks.
Check out the Boulders Gorge Lookout
To reach Boulders Gorge Lookout, it is about a half hour walk from the car park. Along the way, there is another lookout point before you reach the Boulders Gorge Lookout which is at the end of the walk. At the lookout, you’ll look over the water and watch as the creek rushes down and crashes into the boulders.
Go camping
Nearby the Babinda Boulders, there is the Babinda Boulders Free Camping Area where you can camp for up to 72 hours for free. The camping site has no power, and you’ll have access to toilets and cold showers. You are also within walking distance to some BBQ facilities.
Swim at Devil’s Pool
A short walk from Babinda Boulders is the Devil’s Pool, which is another swimming hole. You can go swimming or cool off in the shallow waters on a hot day. Nearby there is also a playground, toilets, and BBQs to use.
