No refunds are given for pre-booked activities that can’t be completed by travellers who are not cleared to dive onboard.

Great Barrier Reef Pontoon Adventure Itinerary

Discover the hidden depths of the Great Barrier Reef on this day-long adventure to the new and deluxe Moore Reef Pontoon. Set 40km from the coastline of Cairns, this floating activity centre is packed full of fun things to do for all the family. Throughout the day, you’ll get to carve your own itinerary to make a day that’s truly yours whilst getting to know the incredible wildlife and scenery of the Great Barrier Reef.

The tour begins from Cairns where we travel to the unique area of Moore Reef on a plush, air-conditioned catamaran. There, you’ll get an insight into the biodiversity of the Great Barrier Reef through a presentation from an expert marine biologist before you have four hours to explore the joys of the Great Barrier Reef at your own pace.

You can whizz down the waterslide that splashes you out into the sparkling blue waters of the reef or kick back and relax on the sundeck and catch some rays. Elsewhere, there is an underwater observatory you can check out, which provides you with a fascinating look into the magnificent underwater world of Moore Reef. Optional activities include a semi-submersible tour or a glass bottom boat tour with a marine expert, a fish feeding experience, and an enclosed pool for younger members of the family.

For lunch, it’s a fresh tropical buffet to keep you going before you try your hand at snorkelling or swimming in the reef. This tour provides a relaxing and comprehensive way to get to know the Great Barrier Reef.

Accommodation Transfers: We can arrange bus transfers from most hotels and hostels in Cairns and Northern Beaches. If you cannot see your hotel as an option for pickup when making your booking, please contact us and we can advise you on your nearest pickup location. We cannot pick up from residential addresses.
