1 Day Outback Tasting Tour from Port Douglas

If you’re a keen food and wine lover, this small, fun one day tour is what you want. We’ll explore the beautiful outback of Far North Queensland while enjoying delicious food and local wines. We’ll feast on a tasty breakfast with tropical fruits and ice cream, visit the Australian Platypus Park to spot some cute little platypus and taste mouthwatering beers, wines and spirits. Take in the stunning vistas along the way, from a leafy rainforest to the rural scenery full of bananas, sugar cane, coffee and more. Savour the taste of Atherton Tablelands on this culinary one day tour!

Itinerary

1 Day Outback Tasting Tour from Port Douglas Itinerary

Our one day Outback Tasting Tour starts in Port Douglas and will take you along the beautiful hinterlands of Far North Queensland. You’ll be treated to tasty samples of wine, snacks and food today. Once we have left Port Douglas, we’ll make our way to Emerald Creek Ice Creamery which is a family-owned business. Here we’ll enjoy a fruity breakfast with 2 scoops of home made ice cream.

We’ll then head out to our second stop, The Humpy Farm, where we’ll taste some of their appetising (dried) fruits, nuts, jams and sauces. Spend your free time here buying yourself some of their products which you can snack on along the way. Or maybe don’t eat it all so you’ve got some left when you’re back in Port Douglas.

From The Humpy, we’ll drive to the Australian Platypus Park for a stroll to see the platypus and then do some more food and drink sampling! Think smoked products, Lemon Myrtle tea, crocodile and so much more.

Our day is far from over and we’ll be checking out many more places today. We’ll travel along farmland and stop at a large dairy farm to try chocolates and cheese. Stop at the Billycart Brewery to taste their fun and refreshing craft beers. Visit Mt Uncle Distillery where we’ll trigger our taste buds with some liqueur and spirits. And while we make our way back to Port Douglas, you’ll be introduced to a lush rainforest,

Pickup Locations

We can arrange bus transfers from most hotels and hostels in Port Douglas. If you cannot see your hotel as an option for pickup when making your booking, please contact us and we can advise you on your nearest pickup location. We cannot pick up from residential addresses.
Hotel pickups occur between 8:00am to 8:45am. You will receive a confirmation email with the time of your pick up once you have completed your booking.
