If you think the relaxed feel and stunning beaches of Perth are spectacular, wait until you take the ferry to the island paradise of Rottnest, just off WA’s coast. Join our Rottnest Island Tour to visit where the locals come during summer months to escape the city. Get ready to snorkel the crystal-clear waters, cycle from bay to bay or hang out on one of the 63 soft sandy beaches on the island. The vibe is super chilled, and even the native wildlife seem happier on the island. Our fast ferry departs in the morning from Hillarys Boat Harbour, arriving at the island in just 45 minutes, with city centre hotel pick ups available. Upgrade to include bicycle hire to get the most out of your tour to Rottnest.

Just 19 kilometres off Perth’s coast, sits the picture-perfect A-Class reserve island of Rottnest. The island, known affectionately as Rotto to the locals, is home to spectacular secluded beaches, limestone reefs and unique wildlife. However, probably the most famous inhabitant of this getaway is the cute little quokka, and getting a quokka selfie is a must for any visitor. Rottnest is a car free zone, giving it a super relaxed feel and making bikes to best mode of transport for getting around.
Our Rottnest Island Tour starts nice and early with a hotel pickup if you are staying in the city, ready to make the most of your day on the island. We head to Hillarys Boat Harbour in Perth’s northern suburbs (or you can meet the tour there) and jump on our fast ferry for the brief 45-minute journey straight to the island. Relax on board and enjoy the view as the city slips away and we travel on the Indian Ocean towards our destination.
Once we have arrived at Rottnest, the day is yours to enjoy! Upgrade to include bike hire and get exploring the island’s many secluded sandy beaches and pristine bays. If you are more interested in discovering the underwater world of the island, snorkel and fin hire is available on the day to check out the unique marine life hiding in the turquoise waters (please arrange your snorkel hire prior to boarding). Or you can simply roll out your towel and spend the day relaxing on the beach. Whatever you choose to do, be sure to say hello to those adorable little quokkas and grab a photo with this happy little marsupial.
The Rottnest Island Tour finishes up when we jump back on the boat ready for our quick trip back to Hillarys. Enjoy the views on the way back before arriving back on the mainland and heading home to Perth.
