Important Information

Hotel pickups are available for an additional cost. From Cairns: $19 adult/child, from Northern Beaches: $29 adult/child. Infants under 3yr are free of charge.

Please note, a $20 per person Reef Levy is payable on board the vessel. (Reef Levy consists of a $6.5 Environment Management Charge, Port $1.43, RAM $2.07 and $10 admin charges)

Itinerary

Green Island Sail Tour from Cairns Itinerary

Our day starts at Reef Fleet Terminal, where you will board a magnificent sailboat and begin your adventure to the gorgeous Green Island. Enjoy some coffee, tea, pastries, and fresh fruit on board and settle in for 2 hours of sailing to the exclusive mooring on Pinnacle Reef, just 1km off Green Island.

Once we’ve reached our destination, it’s up to you what you want to do: at Pinnacle Reef, you can enjoy a swim, snorkel, or dive in crystal-clear water. The reef is teeming with colourful marine life and makes for a wonderful spot to explore this magical underwater world.

If you feel like it, you can even give diving a try. While certified divers can enjoy the wonders of the reef with a complimentary guide, those who have never dived may do an introductory dive.

Or you can take a trip to Green Island by tender and spend the day relaxing on its pristine beach or exploring some other additional activities on the island, such as going in a glass bottom boat or seeing crocs at Marineland Melanesia. You have 4 and ½ hours to spend between the reef and the island – the amount of time spent between the two is your choice.

Lunch is a delicious smorgasbord of fresh seafood, mixed meat platters, salads, and bread – something for everyone!

Once we’ve snorkelled and swam to our heart’s content, we’ll start making our way back to the mainland. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and some cheese, crackers, and cake served on the sail home.
