Half Day Melbourne City Tour Itinerary
Melbourne is a much loved city and it’s easy to see why after visiting. As the second largest city in Australia, Melbourne is a diverse city with lots of historical buildings, vast gardens, vibrant markets, art museums, and much more. There’s so much to see and do, it can be difficult to decide where to begin. That’s why we offer a tour featuring the highlights of this spectacular city.
Throughout the 3.5 hour tour, we’ll stop at a range of locations to help you get a feel for the city. Queen Victoria Market is full of the freshest fruits and vegetables in the city, in addition to lots of other local goodies. You’ll often find beautiful buildings tucked into the green gardens dotted throughout the city. We’ll visit the UNESCO protected Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens and the Old Treasury Building located near Fitzroy Gardens. Learn all about Australian Football while viewing the city’s largest sports stadiums in the Sports Precinct.
The Royal Botanical Gardens provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The gardens are home to many flourishing native plants, breathtaking views of the city skyline, and Ornamental Lake. The Shrine of Remembrance is located next to the Royal Botanical Gardens. The memorial honours Australians who served in conflicts around the world throughout history.
Continuing further south from the city centre, you’ll visit the popular beach-side suburb of St Kilda. Here, you can view the historic sea baths, the iconic gates of Luna Park, the St Kilda Pier, and much more.
