Begin your day of food and wine discovery with a pick-up from central Melbourne. Your driver and guide will help bring the history of the region to life as you head south across the Mornington Peninsula to the first of four dedicated gastronomic stops. Here you’ll have the opportunity to sample the latest wines of the Pt Leo Estate, which is set among a 135-hectare sculpture garden containing 60 contemporary works of art.
You’ll continue on to Rare Hare Wines at Jackalope, whose cellar door is a spectacular space in which to try the vineyard’s cool-climate chardonnays and pinot noirs. Next up at the Montalto Estate, you’ll also delight your taste buds with a lunch incorporating produce from just a few kilometres around its rows of vines.
Switching from wineries to breweries, your tour goes on to the taproom of the St Andrews Beach Brewery, where you’ll get to sample a paddle of some of the team’s favourite beers, from pilsners to India pale ales.
But before your return journey to Melbourne, you’ll have time to enjoy the colourful bathing boxes of beaches at Mount Martha Beach South. What’s more, you’ll have a further chance to take in the magnificent landscapes of the Mornington Peninsula as it curves around Port Phillip Bay. Take in the spectacular views from Murrays Lookout at Arthurs Seat where you can see all the way to Melbourne on a clear day!
Then we jump back on the bus for the return journey to Melbourne, where we arrive in time around 6:30pm.
