Come join us on a journey to explore one of the most stunning attractions in the Top End - Nitmiluk National Park. We'll enjoy a cruise through the towering walls of Katherine Gorge before cooling off with a swim at Edith Falls. You'll view the magical scenery and learn the stories of the local Jawoyn people. All while enjoying the insightful historical and cultural commentary provided by your guide.

This tour requires a moderate level of fitness. The terrain is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, wheelchairs, walkers, prams or strollers.

Itinerary

1 Day Katherine Gorge Small Group Tour Itinerary

Our journey begins in Darwin and takes us south along the renowned Stuart Highway. We’ll pass through Adelaide River and Pine Creek townships before reaching Katherine. Along the way, you’ll be able to view the unique flora and fauna of this magnificent region of the Northern Territory.

One of the highlights of the trip is the two-hour NitNit Dreaming boat cruise through the breathtaking Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk). Here you will marvel at the towering 70-metre cliff faces that showcase the ever-changing earthy colours. During the cruise, you’ll be immersed in the authentic culture and stories of the Jawoyn people of Katherine, the traditional owners of the land.

After the boat cruise, we’ll head to the picturesque Edith Falls (Leliyn) region. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the vast natural plunge pool or simply relax and take in the serene surroundings. On our way back to Darwin, we’ll meander through Pine Creek and Adelaide River townships before concluding the tour. We’ll drop you back in Darwin to enjoy a balmy Top-End evening how you please.

Please note that seasonal conditions may affect our itinerary, but we’ll do our best to provide you with an unforgettable experience. Whether we visit Edith Falls (Leliyn) before or after the Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) cruise will depend on the timing of the boat tour.
