1 Day Yarra Valley Tour Itinerary
Our one-day Yarra Valley tour begins in Melbourne, where we’ll transfer you to the rolling hills of the Valley. The day will be filled with tasting outstanding local wines, picturesque wineries and delicious food.
We’ll head first to Greenstone Vineyards. Nestled at the base of Christmas Hills, this 27-hectare winery produces chardonnay, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon, which are all iconic varieties to the area. Sample these amazing wines whilst taking in the views of this charming winery with the Great Dividing Range as its backdrop.
For lunch and more wine tastings, we head to the hugely popular Balgownie Estate. After being treated to a guided tasting session of their outstanding wines, you will be wined and dined in the estate restaurant. Enjoy a main course with a complimenting wine and finish with a coffee or tea.
We couldn’t visit the Yarra Valley without stopping at the adorable, rustic Yering Farm Estate. An authentic barn has been reformed into the cellar door which gives this wine tasting experience a quirky feel. Along with their wonderful selections of wines, make sure you sample the estate’s apple cider.
The final winery we visit takes its inspiration from Northern Italy. Soumah of the Yarra Valley has a cellar door with a real Italian feel, whilst its wine styles and varieties would be at home in the famous wine regions of Northern Italy. Soak up the charming rural setting as you taste your way through the estate’s sophisticated cool-climate chardonnay, pinot noir, pinot grigio and more. Be sure to pick up a few bottles to take home with you!
