Travel along one of Australia’s most picturesque coastal drives to admire the iconic 12 Apostles, spot koalas in the wild and explore the charming seaside towns of the Great Ocean Road. Join a maximum of 10 travellers on this small-group tour as it heads straight to the 12 Apostles on the Shipwreck Coast to avoid the crowds and take in the breathtaking views at the incredible lookout points. You’ll take in the spectacular beauty of Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge and the Razorback, before journeying along the Great Ocean Road back towards Melbourne. Admire the stunning views as we make stops at highlights along the return journey, before arriving back in Melbourne in the evening.

Itinerary

Boutique Great Ocean Road Tour Itinerary

The tour starts bright and early from central Melbourne, heading out over the West Gate Bridge and inland towards Colac, a charming rural town. We’ll make a brief stop here to stretch our legs and grab a coffee, before continuing the journey to the coast.

Once we arrive on the Shipwreck Coast, there are plenty of opportunities to admire the incredible natural scenery of this dramatic piece of coastline. Your tour guide will regale you with fascinating facts about the natural history that has shaped the area and the stories of ships that met a watery grave at the bottom of the Southern Ocean. Enjoy a stroll along the secluded beach of Loch Ard Gorge, and learn the tragic story of how it earned its name, before snapping photos of the Razorback and London Bridge from impressive lookout points.

But of course, the highlight of the tour is a stop at the famous 12 Apostles. Here you can wander along the boardwalks for views of the iconic rock formations as they jut out of the powerful Southern Ocean that constantly shapes the coast. There’s no need to rush as we stop here long enough to get stacks of photos and admire the astonishing beauty before we head to Port Campbell for lunch.

Following our lunch stop, we continue our journey along the Great Ocean Road, travelling through the towering forests of the Otway Ranges, towards Kennett River. Here we make a stop to look for koalas in their natural habitat and hopefully meet some of the colourful local king parrots. Admire the stunning coastal views out the window as we continue the journey to the enchanting town of Lorne. After our last stop here, we head back to Melbourne to arrive in the evening.
