Sample Itinerary
You’ll start the day off in Melbourne, where you’ll meet your friendly guide and fellow travellers on the bus. Then we cross the Westgate Bridge and head out of the city towards the famous Great Ocean Road. Enjoy the stunning views as we travel along the Surf Coast before stopping at Memorial Arch for a photo of the Great Ocean Road sign.
We’ll stop to meet some of the Great Ocean Road’s laziest locals, the dozing koalas that live in the eucalypts in this part of Victoria. Spot them sleeping in the trees or maybe munching on some leaves. Hopefully some of the vibrant parrots will come and say hello as well.
When hunger strikes, we head to Apollo Bay, a quiet coastal town where you can quickly pick up some lunch (own cost) and take a walk along the calm beach. Then it’s back on the bus to the dramatic scenery of the Shipwreck Coast. Take a walk down to Loch Ard Gorge, wander along the coastal cliffs to admire the Razorback and be mesmerised by the power of Southern Ocean. To top it all off, enjoy a stroll to lookout point of the 12 Apostles to admire the iconic limestone stacks.
As the sun sinks, sit back and admire the Victorian countryside as it whizzes by on the journey back to Melbourne.
