Part of the enjoyment of this tour is the active hands-on participation of everyone and you will be required to assist with light duties such as setting up camp, preparing meals and cleaning dishes.
10 Day Perth to Adelaide Tour Itinerary
Combine Australia’s ultimate road trip with incredible wildlife encounters on our 10 Day Perth to Adelaide tour. This tour includes travelling across the vast plains of the Nullarbor, showcasing you the true Australian Outback. There are also plenty of great optional activities offering close interaction with aquatic wildlife. Take in the sight of the stars as you sleep comfortably in your swags as the sun goes down!
Day 1: Perth to Wave Rock
We depart early from Perth and journey southeast towards the Wellington National Park and the Wellington Dam. Take in the world’s largest dam mural, where art and nature join. Continue onto the small town of Collie for lunch, and take in more vibrant artwork as you explore the Collie Mural Trail.
After lunch, our travels continue to the infamous Wave Rock. The impressive granite formations make up one of the most recognizable points in Australia. A short distance away will be our campsite for tonight, as you settle in for your first sleep under the night sky!

Day 2: Wave Rock to Cape Le Grand
We begin day two with the 3.6 km Wave Rock trail. Take in the incredible beauty of this iconic landmark as you walk amongst gum woodland and past pink salt lakes. Our trip continues towards Esperance, with a brief stop in Ravensthorpe for lunch. Enjoy some free time amongst the many National Parks which surround Esperance while wile we restock supplies, before continuing on to the spectacular scenery and stunning beaches of Cape Le Grand National Park. Even kangaroos can often be found lazing about on the snow-white sand of
Lucky Bay.

Day 3: Cape Le Grand National Park
Early on day three will be the prime time to go kangaroo spotting if you missed them the previous day. An early morning hike up the stunning Frenchmen’s Peak will give you unparalleled views of the beaches and islands of the Recherche Archipelago. We’ll spend the whole day exploring the beaches and wilderness of Cape Le Grand, with some free time to kick back or explore on your own.

Day 4: Cape Le Grand to The Nullarbor
We depart the stunning Cape Le Grand and head towards the historical town of Norseman for a bite, then east on the Eyre Highway. Get ready to be amazed by the sheer size of this vast country as we journey 500 kilometres on the world’s longest stretch of road and enter the state of South Australia. The Nullarbor gets its name from the Latin word meaning “no tree”, so don’t expect you to see a whole lot of vegetation on this part of the journey.
Our bush camp for the night gives you the ultimate IMAX version of the great southern night sky. This display of shooting stars and constellations will leave you amazed!

Day 5: Great Australian Bight to Penong
On day five, we continue our journey east along the Nullarbor, stopping at the old telegraph township of Eucla. We’ll tick off some iconically Aussie sights today, stopping for a photo of the highway’s famous ‘Camels/Kangaroos/Wombats Crossing road sign. View where the Nullabor Plain meets the Southern Ocean at the impressive Bunda Cliffs before we cross the Dingo Fence, the world’s longest fence, and enter the Yalata Aboriginal Lands.

Day 6: Penong to Coodlie Park
Start day 6 at the Penong Windmill Museum to say hi to ‘Bruce’, the biggest windmill in Australia. Following this, we stop at Streaky Bay to stock up supplies and have a go at surfing for those keen to hit the water, or relax on the beach and soak up the sun. After plenty of fun and adventure, we take a short walk exploring Talia Cave before arriving at Coodlie Park bush camp. This working eco-farm will give you an insight into the challenges of life on an Aussie farm and has its very own private beach. Relax for the evening, or join the optional Stargazing Tour (own cost), before settling in for the night.

Day 7: Coodlie Park to Camp Nyroca
Today you will have the opportunity to get up-close with some of Australia’s friendliest sea life in the fishing village of Baird Bay. The clear Southern Ocean waters off the Eyre Peninsula are home to delightful dolphins and playful sea lions. You can jump in the water and join these good-natured mammals for the most exciting swim of your life (own expense – please mention at the time of the booking if you would like to add this option).
If you choose to stay dry, travel to Point Labatt Conservation Park – the only place on mainland Australia where you can witness and observe the rare and endangered colony of Australian sea lions.
After lunch, we continue our day with a visit to Elliston before setting up camp in Camp Nyroca.

Day 8: Coffin Bay to Port Lincoln
Our first destination of the day is the stunning white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and rugged cliffs of Coffin Bay National Park. You’ll have some free time here to explore the stunning landscape, take a stroll down the Oyster Walk, or join the optional Oyster Farm Tour. After lunch, we make our way to Port Lincoln where you’ll have a chance to connect to Country with a guided cultural experience. Into the evening, we roll into Mikkira Station Koala sanctuary, home to the only wild koala population in the Eyre Peninsula, where we will set up our camp for the next 2 nights.

Day 9: Port Lincoln
Day 9 starts with supporting conservation efforts at the Mikkira Koala Sanctuary. Help our native wildlife by counting koalas, helping to control invasive weeds, or collecting seeds. After a valuable morning, we make our way to the Lincoln National Park. Hike part of the Parnkalla Trail through ancient cliffs and bushlands, and take in the spectacular ocean views and fresh air. Head into town for one last farewell dinner together (own expense) before making our way back to camp for your final night sleeping under the stars.

Day 10: Port Lincoln to Adelaide
On the last day of our 10 Day Perth to Adelaide Tour, we’ll find some final hidden gems. Start the day in Tumbly Bay to check our the impressive silo art mural, then onto Cowell for more silo art and the opportunity to grab some lunch. Head over to Lucky Bay for a relaxing 2 and a half hour ferry trip across Spencer Gulf to Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula, before jumping back on the bus and arriving at our final stop in Adelaide. The conclusion of the tour is a great time to reflect on your adventure with your fellow Perth to Adelaide group members.
