Due to the nature of the Adelaide Gourmet Food, Bike & Discovery Tour, any cancellation less than seven days prior to departure date will result in 100% cancellation fee.
The tour starts in the centre of Adelaide, where we’ll head straight to the Adelaide Central Market and take a fascinating guided tour around the decadent stalls. This popular hotspot has been at the heart of Adelaide’s foodie scene for almost 150 years, and continues to boast some of the city’s best treats – with more than 70 vendors, there’s a lot to choose from, including local cheeses, freshly baked goods, and seasonal fresh fruit.
You’ll get to meet some of the vendors and hear their personal stories about food and life in the city, and discover the rich history the market has had and why it makes up such an important part of Adelaide.
Try some of the local flavours, as well as those from further afield, and pick up some tasty souvenirs before we hop on two wheels and take a guided cycle tour around the city and head to the Park Lands.
As you go, your local guide will regale you with secrets and stories about the rich history of Adelaide and tales of the distinctive architecture, providing you with a unique perspective of the city and its historic goings-on. When we arrive at the park, you’ll get to sit amongst the lush scenery and tuck into a picnic of treats from the market. Kick back and relax in the peaceful surroundings and soak up the unique flavours of the city.
Once lunch is over, we head back to the centre of Adelaide where your foodie adventure unfortunately comes to an end.
