About The Tour
Get amongst nature on this incredible foray into the wildlife that lives between Melbourne and Adelaide. Explore this section of mesmerizing coastline with its rugged mountains and fascinating Aboriginal history. This 2 Day Tour from Melbourne to Adelaide will give you an introduction into the stunning scenery of the Great Ocean Road, along with some of Australia’s most iconic landmarks and attractions.
Operates: Monday, Tuesday*, Thursday & Saturday
(*November – April)
Departs Melbourne: 7:00am
Arrives: Adelaide Central Bus Station approx. 7:30pm
Helicopter Ride: Take a helicopter ride over the 12 Apostles – Cost: $145 (15 minutes)
Upgrade to a twin/double/single (shared facilities) – $100 per room
Upgrade to a twin/double/single (private ensuite) – $175 per room
Day One (L)
On day one, you’ll get to sample the beaches of the Great Ocean Road before checking out the historic Memorial Arch and its surroundings. We’ll then move on to some of the local seaside towns and spot koalas, kookaburras, parrots, and Lorikeets along the sprawling Kennett River.
Lunch will be tasty stop-off in Apollo Bay before a bushwalk and a sunset view of the 12 Apostles. To finish the day, you’ll get to go night-time kangaroo spotting before bedding down in the beautiful scenery of the Grampians.
Day Two (B)
We’ll tour the Grampians National Park today, taking in the amazing collection of wildlife – think native species, like kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, and koalas.
You’ll have the chance to take a hike through the mountains, visit Halls Gap at the heart of the Grampians, and learn more about the colourful heritage of the region at the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Before we finish up in Adelaide, you’ll get to see Reed’s Lookout or Lake Bellfield, check out McKenzie Falls or Silverband Falls, and see ancient cave paintings.
