Our Perth to Melbourne tour combines our Perth to Adelaide and Adelaide to Melbourne tours to offer you the best flexibility in one great value package. You select your travel dates for each tour, meaning you can spend extra time in Adelaide, or keep travelling straight to Melbourne. Accommodation is included while on tour, but we leave the accommodation in Adelaide between tours up to you.
Minimum age for this tour is 8 years old. If you are travelling with a child under the age of 18 years old, you will need to upgrade to a private room where we stay in dormitory accommodation. Please call us prior to making the booking to check for availability.
Luggage restriction is 15kg backpack/soft travel bag and one hand luggage size bag per person.

Day 1: Perth to Fitzgerald River National Park
Our adventure from Perth to Melbourne begins by heading out of Perth, east over the Darling Ranges, before stopping for our first coffee break at the historic town of York, Western Australia’s oldest inland town. From York, we head towards Wave Rock, where you can enjoy lunch and grab a photo of the iconic and unusual rock formation. By the late afternoon, we will arrive in Fitzgerald River National Park. We spend our first night swag camping at the Fitzgerald River National Park.

Day 2: Cape Le Grand National Park
Wake up refreshed and begin the day in style, with a hike up East Mount Baron, one of the three quartzite peaks which make up the Barren Range. Once we conclude our hike, we will take a scenic drive to Esperance, where you can enjoy a coffee and a leisurely stroll around the area.
Prepare yourself and get your camera ready as this beautiful part of Western Australia has a total of 9 National Parks. We camp at the most picturesque out of the lot – Cape Le Grand National Park. The beaches here are stunning, and you will often find native Eastern Grey Kangaroos sunbaking on Australia’s whitest sand.
Enjoy the afternoon, and spend it in any way you like! You can set out on a coastal bushwalk, go for a dip in the calm waters, or go on an adventure with your camera, capturing images of this picturesque location. Then settle down to spend the night swag camping at Cape Le Grand.

Day 3: Cape Le Grand National Park
For those who missed out on spotting any kangaroos yesterday, the early morning is the perfect time to wander down to the beach and capture a few snaps of these beautiful animals. In the early morning, we will hike up Frenchman’s Peak, which offers picturesque views across the inlets and islands of the Recherche Archipelago. We spend the rest of the day exploring the amazing beaches of Cape Le Grand, with some free time to do your own thing too. At night, enjoy your second and last night in this wilderness.

Day 4: The Nullarbor
We hit the road and start out journey towards the Nullabor. We’ll grab a bit to eat in the small town of Norseman, prior to hitting the road along the Eyre Highway to begin our journey eastbound.
The Nullarbor is one of the most baron locations on earth. The word ‘Nullarbor’ is Latin for ‘No Trees’ – and you will see why throughout the day, as trees, along with any other sort of vegetation, is non-existent. The saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover” applies to this stretch of land, as beneath the surface, is Australia’s largest underground lake system! Tonight, you will be treated to an IMAX version of the great southern sky, which will leave you in awe!

Day 5: The Nullarbor
On day four, we have a lot of ground to cover, in fact 500 kilometres of the world’s longest stretch of straight road. Today will certainly give you a sense of the massive size of this ancient land covered throughout the trip.
We visit Eucla, an ancient telegraph township, which is predominately buried beneath sand dunes! We make several pitstops, including the world-famous camels / kangaroos / wombats crossing sign. The Bunda Cliffs are our next destination, where the Nullarbor Plain drops dramatically into the Southern Ocean. The road we cover, is significant as it runs for approximately 200 kilometres along the Great Australian Bight and is the world’s longest uninterrupted line of limestone cliffs.
We will cross over the Dingo Fence, the world’s longest fence, stretching for 5,614 kilometres. The Dingo Fence allows us to enter Yalata Aboriginal lands.

Day 6: Great Australian Bight and Coodile Park
Today, we spend the morning checking out a legendary surf break and pink Lake MacDonnell. In the afternoon, discover the Ceduna Arts and Cultural Centre, displaying stunning pieces of Aboriginal artworks. The night is spent at Coodlie Park Bush Camp where we sleep in cool swag huts.

Day 7: The Eyre Peninsula
Our sixth day is certainly one that will provide a lifetime of memories. Make the most of this unique opportunity and swim with sea lions and dolphins in the waters of Baird Bay, a small fishing village located on the Eyre Peninsula. If you prefer something else, choose the option to enjoy a 3-hour magical cruise.
For those who wish to stay on land, travel towards Point Labatt Conservation Park known to be the only place where you can witness the colonies of Australia seal pups in their natural habitat.
After indulging in a delicious lunch, we’ll continue our action-packed day as we head to Lake Newland Conservation Park to test out your sandboarding skills in some of the biggest sand dunes! We’ll travel towards Mikkira Station where we will be spending the night, surrounded by koala-filled gum trees! Can’t get more Aussie than that!

Day 8: Mikkira Station and Port Lincoln
Our day 7 on our Perth to Melbourne Tour, you will be offered two very different itineraries. For our wildlife lovers and thrill-seekers, you have the option to dive into the deep sea and swim with Great White Sharks. If you prefer to stay dry, enjoy witnessing these creatures through a revolutionary glass viewing aqua sub (at own expense).
For those who opt to stay dry, further your exploration of the stunning coast of the Whalers Way to the white pristine beaches of Coffin Bay National Park. We’ll stop by to Port Lincoln – known as Australia’s Seafood Capital, where we can enjoy some delicious lunch and some free time to explore before meeting the rest of our group to head back to Mikkira Station, for the second night.

Day 9: Port Lincoln to Mt Remarkable
Day 8 is an action-packed day with a surf lesson with Xtreme Kite & Paddle on a pristine white beach. If surfing is not your forte, sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views of the stunning turquoise waters of Fisheries Bay in Port Lincoln.
After a delicious lunch at the beach, we head towards the Flinders Ranges and Mt Remarkable National Park to witness the picturesque scenery of this region! We spend the night camping at Mambray Creek!

Day 10: Mt Remarkable to Adelaide
Day ten sees us on the home stretch to Adelaide, but before we hit the road, we’ll do our last hike – Davey’s Gulley Walk in Mt Remarkable National Park. Back on the bus, we continue our travel towards Adelaide but not before stopping back to the township of Clare Valley to taste some of the best local wines and our last group lunch. The first stage of our Perth to Melbourne adventure ends in Adelaide.

Day 11: Adelaide to Grampians National Park
The second leg of our Perth to Melbourne Tour kicks off with a trip down the Murray River, Australia’s longest river. We stop for morning tea at Tolmer Creek in Bordertown. We move on to the town of Halls Gaps and see the abundance of Australian kangaroos, who call this region their home.
In the afternoon, we continue to Reed’s Lookout or Lake Bellfield, and visit the Jaws of Death, prior to coming across some centuries-old Aboriginal cave paintings in the Grampians National Park.
We will then make our way to either MacKenzie Falls or Silverband Falls for a relaxing walk, before we make the trek up to Boroka Lookout or Venus Baths for breath-taking mountain views. To conclude our action-packed day, we will make a stop in Halls Gap, located at the heart of the Grampians, where you will hopefully spot kangaroos and tuck into a delicious dinner.

Day 12: The Grampians to the Great Ocean Road
We start today with the amazing Pinnacle Hike for unbeatable views of the Grampians and beyond. Then the journey takes us towards the coast to Tower Hill, a 30’000-year-old extinct volcano. Here you will have the chance to spot plenty of native Australian animals in their natural habitat including koalas, emus and more. Our final night is spent in the seaside town of Warrnambool.

Day 13: The Great Ocean Road to Melbourne
The final day of our Perth to Melbourne tour is all about the Great Ocean Road. We head towards Melbourne along this incredible stretch of coastal road taking in the amazing views at Bay of Martyrs and London Bridge.
After exploring these locations, we head towards Loch Ard Gorge, situated along the Shipwreck Coast, and the world-famous Twelve Apostles, offering sensational photo opportunities.
In the afternoon, we will be treated to a guided bushwalk through the ancient landscape of the Otway Rainforest. We enjoy a relaxing swim in Apollo Bay, before enjoying an easy bush walk to spot some native koalas. The iconic Memorial Arch is our last stop for a photo opportunity, prior to passing through the small coastal town of Anglesea, and eventually heading back to Melbourne, where the tour concludes.
