Starting from Sydney, it can take about an hour and a half to drive to Katoomba via M4 and the Great Western Highway/A32.

If you are going by public transport, you’re in luck! From Central Station, you can get a direct train on the Blue Mountains Line to Katoomba Station.

All year round can be a great time to visit Katoomba to explore the Blue Mountains. Though the warmer months of the year are hard to beat. Great months to visit are between September to May.     Katoomba Falls gets an honourable mention as it’s one of the most popular attractions in the area. The falls is about 250 metres high and the best place to see it is up and close. You can see the falls between Echo Point and Scenic World and there is a quick walking track from Scenic World to see the falls.
