Relax at Leura Cascades for an enjoyable picnic in the Blue Mountains.
You can enjoy a lovely picnic in Leura Cascades which is around a set of eucalypt trees. The picnic spot is close to a stream of water that you will be able to hear, or you can do some birdwatching. It’s also a great area for kids to run around and see some scenic spots.
Picnic foods to bring can include sandwiches, sausage rolls, fruit, cookies, and other small snack foods. Bring along a picnic basket and a blanket if you can!

Leura Falls
Leura Falls is one of the Blue Mountains’ most visited waterfalls! You can visit the waterfall by following a boardwalk close by Leura Cascades and see the waterfall surrounded by greenery.

Leura Cascades Fern Bower circuit
From Leura Cascades picnic area, you set off on a three hour walk along Leura Falls Creek, viewpoints of Leura Cascades, and a lookout point of Jamison Valley. You’ll keep walking and end up in the rainforest, which is your chance to do some wildlife watching, especially some birds! You’ll keep walking until you soon will end up back at the picnic area.

Leura
Leura is a beautiful area in the Blue Mountains that has amazing views. You can go to Leura for the great selection of cafes and restaurants or to do some shopping! Visitors will go to Leura during October for the Leura Gardens Festival that happens each year.

Bridal Veil Lookout
Bridal Veil Lookout gives you an incredible view of Bridal Veil Falls and the cliff faces. The best time to go to this lookout is after rain so the waterfall looks spectacular.
To reach this lookout, it is a short 15 minute walk from Cliff Drive. Along the way, you’ll come across the Tarpeian Rock lookout with views of Kings Tableland, the back of the Three Sisters, and Jamison Valley.

Leura Cascades is very close to Katoomba, which is one of the most popular towns in the Blue Mountains. Katoomba has the Three Sisters, Scenic World, Katoomba Falls, and delicious restaurants to enjoy a meal at.
