The Blue Mountains has a lot of iconic lookouts, and Govetts Leap is certainly one of them!

Govetts Leap is one of the many lookouts points you can access in the Blue Mountains. The lookout has some of the most beautiful views across the Blue Mountains. You’ll see the deep canyons of Grose Valley, amazing waterfalls, cliff walls, and sandstone escarpments.

Blackheath

Blackheath is a town in the Blue Mountains, which is near the highest point in the mountains! The town has restaurants and cafes to enjoy a meal and some shops.

Each year in November, the town holds the Rhododendron Festival which is a week long event. This amazing festival has been going on in Blackheath since 1953!

Blue Mountains Heritage Centre

The Heritage Centre is where you can learn about the Blue Mountains’ history and the culture of the Darkinjung, Dharawal, Dharug, Gundungurra, Wonnarua, and Wiradjuri people. The centre also has a range of permanent and limited exhibitions to check out and there is a gift shop too.

Fairfax Heritage walking track

The Fairfax Heritage walking track takes you on a 30 to 45 minute long walk to go by scenic lookout points and wildflowers. At the lookout, you’ll be able to view Grose Valley and even some waterfalls.

Grose Valley

Grose Valley is one of the valleys in the Blue Mountains which is a beautiful valley with incredible waterfalls. In Grose Valley you can camp, go for walks, or follow some bike trails.

You may see a wide range of different animals as you’re going through the valley. You might spot an Aussie favourite like a koala, a yellow tailed black cockatoo, a swamp wallaby, or a sugar glider to name a few.
