Blue Mountains Walking Tour Itinerary
We start the morning in Sydney, where you’ll be picked up from a central pick-up location – and then we’re off on our day of explorations! After an hour’s drive, you’ll get the chance to fuel up on caffeine (own expense) at Glenbrook before we head to our first exciting destination: Lincolns Rock lookout.
Marvel at incredible uninterrupted views of Jamison Valley, making you feel like you are standing on the edge of the world. We then do a short drive over to the more chilled and locally known Wentworth Falls. Here we’ll embark on an approximate 90-minute moderate-level, nature-enclosed hike down through the undercliff walk, via the ‘Stairs of Doom’ and National Pass to the bottom of the 187-meter waterfall in Jamison Valley. We will stop at several amazing viewpoints where the true beauty and size of Sydney’s beautiful Blue Mountains can really be appreciated.
Once you’ve hiked your way back up to our starting point, you’ll be rewarded with a delicious picnic lunch overlooking Jamison Valley. Trust us, all that walking will make you hungry!
Next, we power further up the mountains to Ktown, home of the iconic Three Sisters. We’ll get to see them up close, learning about their Aboriginal significance. You can choose to grab a coffee or a snack at the small cafe there, browse the local jewellery and souvenir shops, and use the bathroom.
We then head to a nearby reserve where we sometimes spot wild white cockatoos up close! If there’s time, we sometimes stop off at a further lookout, such as Cahil lookout.
Finally, we make our way back to Sydney, where we often finish the tour with a drink together at a local bar with new-found friends.
