Thredbo Snow Tour from Sydney Itinerary
Departing late at night, climb aboard our comfortable coach and get a few hours of shut-eye in reclinable seats as we set off down the Hume Highway towards the alpine region. Not long before sunrise, we’ll make an early morning stop at Jindabyne where you can fuel up with hot coffee and biscuits. This is also your chance to rent some discounted snow gear before we get into all the action at Thredbo.
When we arrive, you’ll have 7.5 hours of free time to ski and snowboard throughout the 480 hectares of the powdery landscape that’s on offer. Thredbo is also home to many of Australia’s longest ski runs, including the five-kilometre Crackenback Super Trail. Fortunately, the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift can carry you from the bottom to the mountaintop in a rather rapid seven minutes. Off the slopes, the ski village atmosphere is top-notch as there are a host of restaurants, bars and shopping boutiques that provide a lively place to take a break.
Eventually, we’ll leave behind the wintery landscape and make our journey back to Sydney. After a couple of hours of driving, we’ll take a 40-minute break for dinner before we finally arrive back at Haymarket at approximately 9.45pm. Across this wonderful one-day experience, discover why so many people consider Kosciuszko National Park and Thredbo to be Australia’s favourite alpine village.
