This is due to the nature of the accommodation (swag camping and dormitory), the hikes (up to 8 kms a day in the heat), and the style of the tour (catered to a younger crowd). Come aboard our 7 Day Alice Springs to Darwin Tour with Uluru Detour and immerse yourself in adventure from the Red Centre to the Top End. Experience the vast changing landscapes as we make our way across the Northern Territory to Uluru. Let your breath be taken away by the multiple domes of Kata Tjuta, as you make your way through the Valley of the Winds. Sit back with a glass of bubbly wine and nibbles watching the sun go down! Followed by an outback BBQ dinner and laughs, as you settle the night in around the campfire inside your swags!

Day 1: Alice Springs to Uluru
The tour kicks off in Alice Springs where we’ll come and get you for an early start to the day. We’ll make our way to Uluru and head straight for a camel farm, where you can learn about this early form of desert travel. After lunch, we’ll take a guided walk around the base of Uluru before checking out the Cultural Centre where you can learn about the beautiful wildlife and fascinating Aboriginal history of the site.
Afterwards, we enjoy the magical sunset from the viewing platform armed with bubbly and nibbles. We’ll then head back to camp for dinner and a night under the stars.

Day 2: Kata Tjuta to Kings Creek Station
Day two begins with an early breakfast before watching the sunrise over Uluru. Then it’s on to Kata Tjuta for an incredible stroll through the Valley of the Winds. After refuelling at lunch, we’ll move on to Kings Creek Station.
Once at camp, we’ll tuck into a traditional Aussie BBQ around the campfire before sleeping under the stars again.

Day 3: Kings Creek Station to Alice Springs
The final day starts early as we take a breath-taking walk around the rim of Kings Canyon after breakfast. We’ll check out the north and south walls, the Garden of Eden, and the Natural Amphitheatre here before hitting the road and heading back to Alice Springs. We arrive in Alice Springs in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Free day in Alice Springs
Enjoy a day to relax, explore Alice Springs or take a day tour to the surrounding attractions.

Day 5: Alice Springs to Banka Banka Station
Day five begins with a drive north from Alice Springs, stopping on the way at The Devils Marbles. There will be plenty of time to explore this mesmerizing rock formation and hear stories about the area. We’ll continue on to the historic Banka Banka Cattle Station afterwards, arriving in the evening at our camping accommodation.

Day 6: Banka Banka Station to Katherine
Our first stop for the day is the historic Daly Waters Pub, an iconic outback watering hole. After refreshments, we continue our journey to the Mataranka Thermal Pools, where we can enjoy a soak in the naturally heated waters in the shade of paperbark trees. Then it’s on to spend our final night together in Katherine.

Day 7: Katherine to Darwin
Our final day is spent soaking up the incredible natural surrounds of Katherine Gorge, also known as Nitmiluk. Take a boat cruise or hire a canoe to explore the peaceful waters of the Katherine River as it cuts through the ancient sandstone gorge. Then it’s the home stretch to Darwin, ready for a farewell beer with your tour companions.
