The exploration of the capital city’s cultural treasures continues with free time at the National Gallery of Australia and time to reflect at the Australian War Memorial. Spend the night in Canberra before heading to Sydney on the second day.

2 Day Melbourne to Sydney Itinerary
Day One
Meet the tour at Southern Cross Station ready to head north for Australia’s capital city, Canberra. You will pass through the country landscapes of Victoria and New South Wales before arriving in Canberra in the evening at 5:00pm. After you’ve made your way to your accommodation and checked in, you have the evening to experience Canberra’s nightlife and explore the city.
Day Two (Breakfast)
The next day, you’ll wake in the vibrant capital of Canberra, where you’ll have a chance to explore its diverse history and stately appeal.
Enjoy a sleep in or spend the morning exploring your surroundings before meeting the tour around 11:00am. We’ll pick you up to head to Parliament House, ready for a guided tour of the centre of Australian politics. We’ll break for lunch then you will have ample time to explore the National Museum of Australia at your own leisure. We will meet up again for a visit to the Australian War Memorial, where you can reflect on the sacrifices of Australians in past wars and the ANZAC’s involvement in conflicts all around the world. From here we start the journey up to Sydney to arrive in the evening.
