Bellarine Food & Wine Lovers Tour from Melbourne Itinerary
Begin the day at the Geelong Waterfront, surrounded by the soothing sound of waves and the fresh sea air. On a stroll along the esplanade, you will see the Giant Sky Wheel and the historic sea baths before continuing the day.
You will get to have your first sip of wine at Scotchmans Hill. When it comes to winemaking, the winery is known for pushing the boundaries to create bold wines and has been a leading winery in the area for over 40 years. Here you will taste premium wines in the French provincial barn house while looking out over the rolling hills of the vineyard.
The next stop will be at Jack Rabbit Vineyard. Not only is the vineyard a great place to sample wines, but it also has a delicious café. Lunch like a local while trying some of the delightful delicacies of the Bellarine Peninsula. You won’t be able to get enough of the breathtaking ocean views while touring the expansive vineyard.
After lunch you will switch it up a bit with a “Tastes of the Region” experience at Queenscliff Brewhouse. The brewhouse serves local craft beer and wine in addition to gin that they produce onsite. You will get to sample an array of wine or craft beer in the brewhouse, which is set in the charming Grand Old Hotel.
The final stop of the tour will be at Flying Brick Cider House. You can enjoy the large, peaceful lawn area while sampling a paddle of ciders. In addition to cider, you can also find food, a regional wine and beer selection and fair-trade coffee. This cider house will wrap up our tour before heading back to Melbourne.
