About The Tour
There is no greater way to discover the sights of Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and everywhere in between, than by joining our Sydney to Adelaide Tour! The tour commences in Sydney, and is packed with 4 days of adventure, prior to arrival in Adelaide. We head south from Sydney, journeying to Canberra to check out the interesting architecture, monuments and museums of Australia’s capital city. Spend the night on a working farm in the Victorian highlands and enjoy time in Melbourne, the world’s most liveable city. Take in the spectacular coastal scenery of the Great Ocean Road and unique landscapes of the Grampians National Park before arriving in Adelaide. You’ll have the chance to spot unique Australian wildlife in their natural habitat and plenty of photo opportunities along the way.
This tour will offer you the greatest flexibility for your adventure from Sydney to Adelaide. Our Sydney to Adelaide Tour is separated into two bite-sized journeys, giving you the chance to spend a little or a lot of time in Melbourne end of the first leg. This means you can relax with extra couple of days in Melbourne, discover a new area out of the city or head straight on to Adelaide. It’s as easy as selecting the dates of the second leg when making the booking. Your accommodation is included on most parts of the journey, but we do leave the accommodation in Melbourne completely up to you. You can spend a couple of nights at a fancy hotel or enjoy a night camping – the choice is yours!

What to Bring
Comfortable walking shoes, 1 liter water bottle, insect repellent, sunscreen, weather appropriate clothing (including a rain jacket and a long sleeve cotton shirt), swimmers, camera and extra money to purchase souvenirs and snacks.

Day 1: Sydney to Wagga Wagga
Our tour departs Sydney early as we venture towards Canberra, travelling through the picturesque Southern Highlands. Our first major stop of the tour is Canberra where you can take the opportunity to uncover the sights of Australia’s Capital City, prior to departing for Wagga Wagga. In Wagga Wagga, you will spend your first night on a true working farm where you will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional farming life that has been predominant in Australia for decades. Take the opportunity to live the life of a farmer, prior to resting up for an action packed second day.

Optional Activity: Tractor ride around the farm – $18 per person and/or Horse riding – $50 per person

Day 2: Murray River to Melbourne
Begin the second day of your journey with a complimentary country style breakfast, prior to either partaking in a tractor tour, or a horse riding adventure. After your experience of one these authentic Aussie farming activities, we will travel across the Murray River and head to Victoria via the gorgeous town of Beechworth. Take the opportunity to gain an insight into Australia’s gold rush era, prior to departing for the Victorian Alps to witness striking scenery. A walk with this picturesque backdrop will conclude your second day before we arrive Melbourne.

Day 3: Great Ocean Road
On Day 3 of your Sydney to Adelaide overland tour, spend the morning enjoying the spectacular coastal drive along the Great Ocean Road. We visit plenty of iconic sights with heaps of photo opportunities including Memorial Arch, Kennett River and of course the famous 12 Apostles. While at Kennett River, don’t miss out on the great opportunity to get up close and personal with these friendly Aussie animals including parrots and koalas. For lunch, we will make a stop in Apollo Bay prior to a guided walk in the Otway Rainforest. In the afternoon we spend time at the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge before traveling to the Grampians National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for kangaroos on the way before settling down for the night amongst the picturesque scenery of the Grampians National Park.

Day 4: Grampians National Park to Adelaide
If you were hoping for a second opportunity to witness some of Australia’s native animals, your guided tour of the Grampians National Park will hopefully offer the chance to view animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas and koalas in their natural habitat. On the final day of your Sydney to Adelaide Tour, you will get the chance to hike through the heart of the Grampians National Park, visiting iconic sights such as Halls Gap and meet the abundance of native Australian wildlife animals. Enjoy unparalleled vistas of the Grampians and surrounding plains at lookouts that dot the region and explore McKenzie Falls or Silverband Falls. We finish the day crossing over the South Australia border and arriving in Adelaide in the evening.
